Fundraisers & Projects
Cub Pack 145 has two big fundraising events: We sell Popcorn in the Fall, and host a Yard Sale in the Spring. 30% of our popcorn sales stays in our pack. At our yard sale, Cub families donate their items, and 100% of sales goes to the pack. Funds are used to pay for awards, national dues, pack activities, and district events for our boys.
Popcorn Sales: Fall
Our entire Scout Council sells Trail's End Popcorn in the Fall. In 2007, Cub Pack 145 was the top selling pack in the New River District! Way to go boys and families!!! This paid for our annual recharter dues (National and Council memberships in Boy/Cub Scouts of America). We were also able to purchase a digital timer for our Pinewood Derby track, and software, so that this year's race ran smoothly and fairly. This is a great addition for years to come! Many boys earned funds for their scout account: money held by the Pack, but applied just to that boy's activity fees, like Cub Scout Day Camp, Scouts on Skis, Gold Rush, Spookaree, etc.
Yard Sale: Spring
Our 2nd Annual Yard Sale will be April 26th, 2008. We will have a bake sale once again. ALL proceeds from the FOOD & DRINK sales will go to the USO, a volunteer organization supporting deployed soldiers and their families. ALL proceeds from the yard sale will support the Pack 145 Cub Scouts. Donors will receive a receipt for their tax-deductible contribution...maybe you've got a neighbor who'd like to clear out their garage, too! Bring it on!
