JANUARY PACK Meeting - Sunday, January 22, 2012
A SMASHING SUCCESS! 96 bowlers knocked down a whole lot of pins and earned some Bowling Beltloops/Pins!
CUT-OUT Night was Tuesday, January 24th and oh wow, the saw dust was flying! Thanks everyone for your patience and questions! Scout Sunday - February 12th
"A Scout is Reverent" and the 2nd Sunday of National Boy Scouting Week is a great way to celebrate that Scout Law as well as say THANKS to our Charter Organization St. Paul UMC! Cub Scouts are asked to sign-up and then attend one of 2 church services (8:45 AM or 11:00 AM) in full Class-A uniform.
Cubs will participate in a flag ceremony, then the reciting of the Pledge and Scout Oath. Pack Leaders will provide Children’s Time and the sermon with help of Cub. Then, Cubs will help with the offertory and other greeting/benediction duties. Each Cub will receive a Scout Sunday patch for participation.

Tuesday, February 28th is the Pack's celebration of Cub Scouting, our Cubs, Leaders, family and more!
Held at the Bridge Conference Center (900 Life Drive off RT 8 near I-81 Exit 114) starting at 6:00 PM.
Evites will be emailed January 16th. RSVPs are required!
This year, there will be a Table Reservation System to ensure your reservation and where you want to sit.
The Evite and Social Table systems will be available at the January PACK Meeting (01/22) & Cut-Out Night (01/24) for in-person entry.
This is covered-dish event requires the cooperation of all families! Each den will be assigned the following food items in which each family must bring enough to feed 20 people (Pack 145 has 84 families) so we don't run out! # of RSVPs (as of 2/01/12) = 158 people!
Den #1 - Fruits
Den #2 - Veggies (non-potato)
Den #3 - Potato (any type)
Den #4 - Salads (non-pastas)
Den #5 - Sandwiches (cut into 1/4s)
Den #6 - Fruit
Den #9 - Pasta (salad, side or main)
Den #10 - Cookies
Leaders - Meats
Cubmaster - Cake
Pack - Lemonade & water drinks
(if have Cubs in multiple dens, just pick one food assignment)
Blue & Gold Attire: Full Class-A uniform (neckerchief, slide, jeans or othe nice pants) for scouts/leaders; Guests: Casual dinner clothing
Blue & Gold Agenda: Upon arrival, Scouts will be given an activity placement with the agenda.
Webelos 1s and new Webelos 2s will perform the Flag Ceremony. All Webelos 2s should view graduation information on the Webelos webpage.

For Tiger, Wolf and Bear ranks, this is a great "Night in the Museum" event for you! The museum may have moved from downtown Roanoke to the Tanglewood Mall but the fun will still come alive! Dates are listed on the Pack Calendar. Some dates still have spaces! So, complete/mail this registration ASAP because this event fills quickly!
(*The Pack-Go-Together Date is January 27th BUT you can pick any date that fits your schedule!) Be on the lookout after 1/15/12 for a Science Museum webpage to help you prepare for this event!

Camp Powhatan Outdoor Adventure
Saturday, April 21, 2012
A one-day event (9AM-4PM) highlighting outdoor sports and conservations. There will be stations providing demonstrations, crafts, trout fishing, shooting, and more!Cost: $12.00 per person and includes lunch, patch, supplies and recognition items. Wear good hiking shoes and clothing for the rain/shine weather. Bring water bottles, snacks and collapsible camp chair. Register on your own with the form on this BRMC LINK before the April 13th deadline.
**BSA Medical Forms Collections
After our recent Pack Committee and realizing that there medical conditions, such as food/peanut allergieswithin our large Pack enrollment that require more awareness by Leaders. To ensure this endeavor, the Pack is asking all Webelos 1s Scouts and below in rank to please submit a BSA Part A&B Medical Form. These will be held in the strictest of confidentality. Forms can be found at
