In 2023, Pack 145 was adopted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5311. Located on High Street in Christiansburg, the VFW is a nonprofit veterans’ service organization helping honorably serving or served military service members from the active, guard and reserve forces. VFW traces its roots back to 1899 with the priority of working alongside America’s youth and instilling a sense of patriotism. None are stronger or more lasting than the relationship between the VFW and America's Scouting organizations. In fact, partnership with the Boy Scouts of America dates back to 1915. While this Leonard E. McCoy VFW Post is Pack 145s Charter Organization, Pack 145 continues a positive relationship with St. Paul United Methodist Church. Majority of Pack 145 activities will meet in the Activity Building located behind St. Paul UMC. Our former charter organization has generously provided Cub Scouts with the use of this and other spaces on the St. Paul property at 220 West Main Street. Cub Scout Pack 145 was chartered through a local UMCs United Methodist Men's Club from 1948-2022
